• Mdou’s music, while rooted in traditional Tuareg melodies, also repeatedly reveals influences from Eddie Van Halen, among others. In addition to Mdou, the band consists of bassist and producer Mikey Coltun, drummer Souleymane Ibrahim and guitarist Ahmoudou Madassane.
  Together they have long since proven on extensive tours that they can not only rock domestic wedding parties, but also festival stages on the other side of the globe. They have mastered both the hypnotic boogie of Masters of Reality-era Black Sabbath and the sublime electrifying groove of Black Uhuru.
