  Birdpop was born in a Brunswick shed on a Friday afternoon in February, 2022. Jack Spencer texted friend Darcy Noonan asking, know any good drummers? Noonan, bass in hand, replied, I know someone who wants to be a drummer. Beatrice Bleechmore had never drummed in her life. The group were joined by Spencers former housemate, Sonny Electric Witton on lead guitar. They were quickly called up to play shows alongside internationally acclaimed Melbourne bands such as Romero and Possible Humans.
