• Amy Lee’s vocals take on another dimension when she just plays piano to it (My Immortal). The songs are either dark and very atmospheric, beautifully textured with keyboards, strings and layered back-up vocals, or on the other hand very edgy and crunchy, but both push the music to new levels. The sound of the disc as a whole is definitely haunting and ethereal and gets better with each listen, it’s an album with a consistent quality that is incredibly captivating. The production is thicker, warmer and fuller than almost anything I’ve heard before. This is definitely more than just a solid entry for a newcomer.
