• Putting the sound of the Canadian singer, songwriter, producer, video director and journalist Claire Boucher, alias Grimes, into words is a difficult undertaking. She deliberately refuses to impose genre boundaries on herself and freely combines all kinds of influences and experiments, compositions and sound generators. “Grimes is the love-born alien child of Aphex Twin and ABBA,” wrote Tastemaker Magazine, and Dazed called her “a pop idol from another dimension”.
  The mix of different styles, arrangements and instruments is certainly already based on Grimes’ musical socialization, as she names Marilyn Manson, Christina Aguilera, Nine Inch Nails, Lana del Rey, Aphex Twin, Mariah Carey, OutKast and Enya as equal sources of inspiration.
  In 2012 she released “Visions”, her international 4AD
