Michigan’s girl punk pioneers! The famous anthology is reissued in a new edition!The Loved Ones, a girl garage quartet from Niles, Michigan, released four singles in 1966 and disappeared without an album.Starting out as the Tremolones in 1964, they were one of the first girl bands. They further updated the delinquent worldview of the girl group Shangri-Las, playing their own instruments and playing garage punk with full-throttle fuzz, making them truly a precursor to Patti Smith and the Runaways.This complete anthology includes all the singles they recorded for Michigan’s prestigious garage label DUNWICH, as well as rare demo recordings. 14 tracks on this CD are the same as those released on the SUNDAZED label in 1999.
