John Spencer, who has gained a large following for his modern takes on the bluesincorporating elements of blues, punk, and hip-hopreleases his new solo studio album, Songs of Personal Loss and Protest. This new release follows his 2024 mini-LP SICK OF BEING SICK, and the recording lineup consists of John Spencer, Kendall Wind, and Macky Spider Bowman. The album was recorded in July 2025 at Applehead Recording in Woodstock, New York, with Chris Bitner. Only Vermin Attack! and Mr. Lion were recorded in April 2025 in Santiago, Chile, by Felipe Ruz & Perrosky. The new album is being produced by John Spencer.
