Recreating the magnificent sounds that resonated in Danzig (Gdask) during the Baroque era.While compositions and arrangements for two pianos have been common since the Classical period, this album focuses on polyphonic choral works created in Danzig (now Gdask) during the Baroque era. These pieces have been arranged for two dialogic harpsichords in an attempt to recreate the soundscape that would have filled the churches of that time. The arrangements are by the acclaimed harpsichordist Maksym Zayontsikevich, who performs alongside Magorzata Skotnicka, a professor at the Gdask Academy of Music and a student of Elbieta Stefanska. On the bonus track, a piece of unknown origin, Aleksandra ebrowska joins as the third performer.Tokyo M Plus
