A collection of opera arias played by the oboeThis is a collection of opera aria arrangements for oboe played by Clara Dent, principal oboist of the Rundfunk Symphonieorchester Berlin. Although the repertoire for oboe is relatively rich, she was searching for a special repertoire. She asked Andreas N. Tulkmann, a composer and arranger active in Germany, to arrange opera arias for the oboe. The tone of the oboe is said to be close to that of a woman’s singing voice, and Tulcman’s arrangement has a natural flow that makes one wonder if it was composed for the oboe from the beginning. Tulkman’s arrangements are so natural that one might think that they were written for the oboe from the beginning, giving birth to a new diva.
