2016 Vienna State Opera Live Thielemann Conducts “Ariadne of Naxos” Ariadne of Naxos, conducted by Thielemann at the Vienna State Opera in October 2014 is now available on Blu-ray and DVD.The DVD was included in the “Vienna State Opera 150th Anniversary Box” ( KKC9457), but the Blu-ray is the first release. The production is directed by Sven-Erik Bechtorff, who also presented the production in Japan in 2016. Thielemann has also recorded with the Staatskapelle Dresden, but his hat is still off to Richard Strauss.
