Description:

Zdenek Otava, one of the leading Czech baritones of the 20th century, became a soloist at the Slovak National Opera in 1925. From 1941 to 1953, she was a teacher at the Prague Conservatory, where she actively mentored younger singers. This 2-CD set is a compilation of Otava’s recordings and offers a wide variety of his singing. A DVD containing footage taken from television broadcasts is included. Naxos Japan
