S. Kuiken & La Petite Band’s masterpiece on LP! The year 2024 marks the 80th anniversary of Sigiswald Kuiken’s birth. To commemorate this occasion, 5 masterpieces from the ACCENT label will be reissued on LP. The five titles on this release are released on LP using DMM cutting (Direct Metal Mastering), which eliminates the need for a lacquer disc process and directly engraves grooves on the mother disc, thus ensuring excellent sound quality. The recording time of about 20 minutes for each side is also ideal. This is a masterpiece that presents a completely new Brandenburg. The orchestra is made up of one part per player, as was the case in the Baroque era, using the violoncello da spalla, the “shoulder cello,” and natural wind instruments without valves.
