This is the sole album released in 1971 by EARTHENVESSEL, a five-piece minor-label heavy psychedelic band from Michigan featuring a mixed-gender vocal lineup led by SHARONKEEL, whose soulful vocals are truly captivating.Reportedly pressed in a run of only 100 copies at the time, this is an ultra-rare item. Although the title is Hard Rock, the actual sound is heavy psychedelia in the direct tradition of Jefferson Airplane. Centered around Sharons soulful and sexy vocals and the fuzz/wah guitars that resonate throughout the album, this work also makes effective use of keyboards, trumpet, and blues harp. The highlights are undoubtedly the extended tracks LIFE EVERLASTING and IVE BEEN WALKIN, where the vocals and fuzz guitars engage in a dynamic interplay. Remastered from the original master tape. Includes an insert featuring liner notes and rare photographs.
