The first six albums by the all-female band *Malaria!*, which took the turbulent West Berlin music scene by storm in the early 1980s, are being reissued all at once!In the early 1980s, the all-female band *Malaria!* rose to prominence in West Berlin, the city of the Wall that symbolized the Cold War. The groupcomprising Bettina Kester and Gudrun Gut, joined by Manon Dourchma, Susanne Kuhnke, and drummer Christine Hahn (who also appeared as a guest on their debut release)formed a five-piece lineup, and their first masterpiece EP is now making its Japanese debut.It features three tracks, including their signature song Your Turn to Run and Duschen (Take a Shower), which addresses the heavy history borne by their homeland, West Germany.
