A collection of string quartets by Ivn ret, a composer born in Hungary who was active in Austria. Although ret endured great hardships during World War II, he devoted himself to the development of the German music scene after the war as a teacher and pianist. Erets works, which never ventured into avant-garde styles, are captivating, combining beautiful melodies reminiscent of Bartk and Brahms with a folk-song-like atmosphere.
