Originally making a name for himself as an outstanding concert pianist, he was known for his skillful interpretations of Beethoven and Rachmaninoff; however, his numerous complex and technically demanding piano workssuch as the Passacaglia on D-S-C-Hhave become the talk of the town among lovers of virtuosic music, and in recent years, his reputation as a composer has also grown.
