Pianist Yu Kosuge has been presenting the concert series Four Elements (Water, Fire, Wind, Earth) since 2007. Her first installment, Water, has already been released on CD (ORC10092/NYCX-10037), which depicted the various forms of Waterever-changing and penetrating peoples emotionsand was met with great acclaim, she has once again breathed life into a diverse collection of works in this second installment, themed around Fire. When one thinks of Fire, the first thing that comes to mind is Prometheus from mythology, who is said to have defied the gods by stealing fire and bestowing it upon humanity. Kojima takes on Liszts symphonic poem Prometheus (piano arrangement by L. Stark) and fully expresses even the gods wrath toward Prometheus.
