Antonio Bazzini (18181897), a 19th-century Italian composer and violinist. Deeply influenced by Paganinis virtuosic technique, Bazzini gave concerts in various countries, including Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Denmark, England, and Belgium; there is a recorded anecdote that Schumann, having heard him perform, praised him highly. As a composer, he wrote works known for their technical difficulty, such as The Fairys Dance and his String Quartets, and he also played a major role as an educator, teaching Mascagni and Puccini at the Milan Conservatory.Tokyo M-Plus
