The Brook Street BandHandel specialists!A diverse collection of Handels violin sonatas!The Brook Street Band is an all-female period instrument ensemble founded in 1996 by Baroque cellist Tatti Theo. The bands name, Brook Street, is taken from the street where Handel lived during his time in London and where he composed many of his masterpieces. Under the leadership of Tatti Theowho is also active as an editor of Handels unpublished works and a scholar of his cello compositionsthe ensemble performs as a world-class Handel ensemble. The ensemble made a sensational recording debut with Handels Water Music in a small-ensemble version (AV0028), and have since been highly acclaimed for their series of outstanding Handel albums, including a collection of cello sonatas adapted from recorder sonatas (AV2118) and several collections of trio sonatas.
