Joshua Redman releases his first new album in almost two years!After winning the Thelonious Monk Competition in 1991, Joshua Redman quickly rose to the top of the jazz world and has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards. He has released numerous masterpieces on Warner and Nonesuch, and moved to the prestigious Blue Note label in 2023. He released his first vocal project, “Here Are We,” featuring rising star Gabriel Cavassa in full, which created a buzz.This is his first new album in two years. This time around, the quartet consists mainly of Paul Cornish (p), Philip Norris (b), and Nazir Ebbo (ds), a current regular quartet of young and elite musicians, and includes eight songs. The band members have toured extensively together, and the inspiration for the new album came to them during their many tours, and they have used their soundcheck time to develop their ideas.
