Nostalgia, love, anxiety, melancholy – a modest musical diary written in the interstices of time.Music that is often described as “Japanese jazz” is often seen as the inheritance of American folk music by the Japanese, or as a reflection of Japanese culture and climate.However, I created this work from a slightly different perspective, borrowing the format of jazz music, which was born in the 20th century in the U.S. and quickly spread throughout the world, while quietly attempting to unravel into sound my own memories, daily life, history, and feelings about society as I grew up in Japan.There are many layers to this album. There are childhood memories and fragments of culture, the signs of the seasons and humidity felt in urban life in Japan.
