Description:

This is the third film by a female director in history to win the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, and a masterpiece that has won awards at numerous film festivals. A father mysteriously falls to his death in an isolated snowy mountain lodge. Only the mother, a best-selling author, her visually impaired son, and their dog live with them. As the mother is suspected of murder, the relationship between the couple is revealed. Although styled as a mystery film, the well-crafted script and skillful direction make it difficult to see the truth due to the uncertainty of the facts, the difficulty of communication in multiple languages, and the discrepancy between different ways of thinking.
