Description:

Montreal-based sound artist Steve Bates has released his second solo album on Constellation. While featuring a stronger ambient sound than his previous work, the album seamlessly blends irregular synths, dismantled drum machines, pointillistic electric guitar, radio static, and field recordings. Incorporating material recorded between 2023 and 2025 in locations such as Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Greece, and Saskatchewan, the album constructs 12 tracks into a single sonic world inspired by the concept of slowly turning the radio dial.
