Michael Pisaro-Liu is an American composer and guitarist. He is also a long-standing member of the Wandelweiser group, a collective of contemporary and experimental musicians. Cristian Alvear lives in Santiago, Chile. He is a guitarist active in the contemporary and experimental music scenes both in Chile and abroad. He has visited Japan several times and performed at the 2019 Ftarri Festival. black,white,red,green,blue, featured on this CD, is a composition for electric guitar by Michael Pisaro-Liu (2004) and is a masterpiece that has been performed by many guitarists to date. The piece alternates between the resonant sounds of the guitar and moments of silence, with a total running time of approximately one hour. Thanks to Cristian Alvear, a new masterpiece of a recording has been born. (C)RS
