The fourth release in the Originale series, featuring performances on period instruments. Johann Bernhard Bach was a cousin of Johann Sebastians, slightly older than him. While most of his works are said to have been lost, this album features the four Orchestral Suites that have survived intact. This is the first Japanese release of this rare recording, which has no comparable counterpart. Recorded in 19901991 by the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock. (C)RS
