Prompted by the passing of composer Polop Joansen, this collection of works by renowned Danish composers was organized primarily by his daughter, Elisabeth Serin, and Lars Hannibal, a producer at OURRecordings. Mikala Petri (recorder), a close friend of Serins, also actively participated in the recording of works by six composers, including Joansen. This album offers a direct experience of the current state of distinctive Danish music. Recorded in Finland in 2014 by the Lapland Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Clemens Schulte. (C)RS
