Description:

This is the 10th volume of works by Godowsky, a renowned pianist and composer. These pieces were composed in 1912, during his time as a professor at the Vienna Conservatory, and are dedicated to Dr. Wilhelm Steckl. The collection consists of 24 little waltzes, each of which clearly alludes to works by 19th-century composers. While some pieces explicitly mention the composers name in their subtitles, others feature subtle quotations within the music that make you go, Ah!a variety of techniques are employed, and they are all fascinating in their own right. While the technical difficulty may be slightly lower than that of his other works, the pieces demand the highest level of expressiveness.
