A 2022 mini-album by HULDER, a black metal project led by Belgian artist MarzRiesterer.This important work bridges the gap between their debut album and their next full-length album, maintaining the cold, clinical black metal of their early days while achieving a more powerful sound and expansive song structures. The release includes the title track, with its intense, breakneck pace; Sylvan Awakening, which incorporates folk-inspired lyricism; and the grand, melancholic A Perilous Journey, among others. While effectively incorporating synthesizers and melodies, the band never loses the spirit of underground black metal, making this a substantial release that showcases HULDERs evolution and expanded expressive range.
