Description:

Born in Dublin, he has lived as an immigrant for 30 years. henryohenrys debut album, *Apocrypha*, is a work that captures the very essence of his life spent over the past 30 years in the United States. While working various blue-collar jobs, he absorbed American myths and culture, using them to forge his own unique American language. Most of the tracks on the album were born from an old guitar he bought for $6 at a thrift store. Produced by filmmaker Rick Alverson, the album features contributions from Eamon OLeary, his son Ned Steves, and Erik Hall. There captures the moment when intense emotion gives birth to a work of art, and that work endures longer than the emotion itself. Imbued with a profound resonance and quiet strength that belies its status as a debut album, this record will resonate with fans of John Cale, Nick Drake, and Leonard Cohen.
