LightMellow Presents J-FUSION Renaissance: Color Vinyl Reissue, Vol. 3This is the second album released by Samba Cariocaa group that evolved from Kiyoshi Hasegawas regular sessions and later changed its name to Carioca. Having demonstrated their true mastery of Brazilian musicparticularly samba and bossa novathey have now absorbed and assimilated a broader range of elements, including jazz, pop, and rock. They are attempting a new approach to create an even more accessible crossover sound. In addition to the five original members, guest musicians include Shuichi Ponta Murakami (ds), Kenji Omura (g), Yuki Inui (kyd), Shigeharu Mukai (tb), Jake H. Conception (sax), and Bread & Butter (cho). The album also includes a cover of a song by Ivan Lins.
