The recording uses the Vallotti tuning standard: a = 415 kHz. The suppleness and precision of the 16-voice choircomposed of four singers per part, including soloistsare so striking that they bring to mind ensembles like The Sixteen and the Monteverdi Choir. It is entirely devoid of any Slavic-style heaviness. All tracks are world premiere CD recordings.
