Following his work on Sibelius for Naxos, this promising young conductor has now turned his attention to Einojuhani Rautavaara (1928). In particular, Symphony No. 8the centerpiece of this recordingpossesses a grandeur that overflows with the genuine emotion of Rautavaara, who is said to have likened life to symphonic music.
