John Thomas, a native of Wales, was one of the most acclaimed harpists and composers of the late 18th century. He served as Queen Victorias court harpist and was widely beloved for his refined technique. This third volume features arrangements of pieces from operas by Gounod, Verdi, Rossini, and others. While the performances require extraordinary technical skill, each piece features a refined arrangement that highlights the originals captivating melodies while allowing listeners to enjoy the elegant resonance of the harp. Two original compositions by Thomas are also highlights of this album.
