A collection of works by British composer Richard Panchev. His works, which carry on the tradition of British sacred music, have received high acclaim internationally.This third volume focuses on works featuring the organ, including an organ concerto written in the traditional three-movement form, two chorale preludes composed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a Fantasia for solo organwhich Panchev himself arranged for two trumpets and string ensemble. All pieces feature accessible melodies based on traditional chorales and hymns of the Church of England. Interwoven among the instrumental pieces are three unaccompanied choral works; as with the previous two albums, the London Choral Sinfonia, led by Michael Waldon, delivers a magnificent performance.Naxos Japan
