Vyacheslav Apostol-Pankratovsky is a pianist born in Moscow. After graduating from the Gnesin State Musical College in Moscow, he enrolled in the graduate program at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theater in Leipzig in 2006. Since then, he has been active primarily in Germany. He made his CD debut in 2020 on GENUIN with a collection of piano works by Schubert and Liszt (GEN20556), and this is his first CD release in two years. It is an all-Chopin album, and he has put a great deal of effort into it. Apostel-Pankratowski does not play Chopin with flashy virtuosity but instead prioritizes poetic expression, allowing a subdued beauty to shine through.Tobu Shoji Co., Ltd.
