Disc 1 is organized chronologically by composition date, while Disc 2 presents the four Pomes in numerical order, tracing the evolution of Ysaes style. While his two early mazurkas show a strong influence from his teachers, Henri Vouhin and Henryk Wieniawski, the rest of the program reveals the mature Ysae. Demetrius Polizoides and Yanna Polizoides are a duo whose parents are both musicians from Greece.
