Nirvana, the famous group led by Irishman Patrick Campbell Lyons and Greek Alex Spyropoulos, left behind many masterpieces of British soft psychedelic music. This is a loving and talented kaleidoscope cover album of many of their classic songs from 1967-69! Originally released on vinyl in 2020, this album was conceived by Patrick and features covers of Nirvana by a variety of old and new bands who loved the band. For this first CD release, four new tracks have been added, including a new recording of Nirvana by Patrick & Alex themselves. This album is a wonderful example of the band’s foresight and influence on and tribute to a generation of musicians, as the psychedelic sound of the 60’s, from which it originated, has been softly, drolly, and colorfully expanded with various interpretations. John Howard also participates!
