Description:

Since 998, Chad R. Matheny has continued to release quirky, verbose underground pop music, primarily under the name EmperorX. After studying science, philosophy, and composition, he temporarily left the academic world and has spent the past 20-odd years traveling around the world by bus and bullet train while pursuing his musical career. While he typically tours solo with just his guitar and synthesizer, he has also performed with artists such as Ratboys, TheHotelier, TheWorldisaBeautifulPlaceandIAmNoLongerAfraidtoDie, Foxing, AJJ, TheFrontBottoms, and XiuXiu.
