This is the third album by AKTOR, the 2025 side project of Chris “The Professor” Black, a one-of-a-kind musician from the UK.Chris describes Aktor as “weird music for weird people,” and he is not restricted by genres but pursues his own unique worldview. The title is a conceptual work inspired by a Scandinavian noir-style TV drama, with each song corresponding to an episode of the drama. The story unfolds in the second season, and the dramatic nature of the story, in which the partner is elevated to the lead role due to the disappearance of the main character, adds depth to the overall music. In terms of sound, the album combines the lightness of 1980s new wave (B-52’s, Talking Heads, Wall of Voodoo, etc.) with the heaviness of 1970s progressive/psychedelic music.
