Alabama Shakes long-awaited third album since 2015!Building on the free-spirited and bold musicality showcased on their 2015 album *Sound & Color*, they have further evolved their sound, elevating psychedelic soul to a more vivid and sensory level. Through a diverse range of sounds, they explore themes of time, death, life, various forms of love, and the increasingly surreal dissonance of modern society.The album was produced jointly by the band and their longtime collaborator Shawn Everett at Sound Emporium Studios and Blackbird Studio in Nashville. While retaining Alabama Shakes signature overwhelming energy, the album ventures into a richer, more fantastical soundscape, resulting in a work that stands out for its attention to spatial expression and soundscapes.
