Well-versed in period instruments, she won second placetied with Shigehiko Kawaguchiat the First International Chopin Period Instrument Competition held in 2018. She also boasts a brilliant career at a young age, having been a semifinalist at the Rubinstein International Piano Competition and winning second place and a special prize at the 17th Edward Grieg International Piano Competition.An 1858 rard fortepiano was used for the recordings on this album, which features a selection of Chopins masterpieces, including the La Ci-dAlem Variations and the Funeral Sonata.Tokyo M Plus
