Andrew Gurey, a British conductor born in Jamaica, has served as its music director since 2016. This appears to be the first recording featuring this combination. While there is a certain degree of the color and vibrancy one typically associates with a Spanish orchestra, this performance allows the listener to truly appreciate Gureys intellectual approach to music-making and the orchestras exceptional skill.Tobu Land System
