This is the latest work by the duo, who have released three previous albums based on the concept of reinterpreting Amami shima-uta.The title “LIFE GOES ON” is a reference to the strength of people’s lives, “Life has its peaks and valleys, but no matter what happens, life goes on. The title “LIFE GOES ON” has two meanings: one is to express the strength of people’s lives, as island songs often express, “Life goes on no matter what,” and the other is a strong statement that the duo’s activities will continue while evolving, as it has become their life’s work. The arrangements, which are the exclusive domain of the duo, are even more colorful, combining traditional instruments such as sansen, lyre, and chijin (Amami handheld drums) with drum rhythm patterns reminiscent of various genres such as Jazz and Hip Hop.
