This commemorative box contains 18 years of recordings of Antonio Pappano and the Orchestra of the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Included is the first recording of Bruckner’s Symphony No. 8. For the past two decades, Antonio Pappano has been acclaimed as a stimulating and inspirational force, simultaneously serving as Music Director of the Royal Opera House in England and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia Orchestra in Rome. He has also excited orchestras and opera houses as far afield as other European countries and the United States. In all these places, the results he has achieved in cooperation with orchestras, solo singers, solo instrumentalists, and choirs have made a very strong impression on audiences and music critics.
