Medieval Norwegian MusicWitlaw III (1265/81325), the eldest brother of Queen Euphemia of Norway, was a Minnesinger whose 17 songs and poems were included in the Jenaer Liederhandschrift (Jena Song Manuscript), which contains 17 songs and poems. Svelle Jensen, the Grand Elder of medieval music and instruments in Norway, arranged these 17 works in collaboration with his ensemble Aurora Borealis and released them on the album *The Songs of Witzlaff*. Aurora Borealis was founded in 1995. Jensen plays plucked string instruments and also restores and crafts stringed instruments. Vocalist Oion Groven Mllen and bowed string player Anne Hutta are also active as folk musicians, while percussionist Thomas Nilsson serves as the leader of the percussion ensemble SISU and performs with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and at the National Theater.King International
