  Well-known artists like A Tribe Called Quest or Ice Cube, for example, used the single “Hard Times” as a sample source for their beats.
  The circumstances surrounding the release of his only album also contributed to the cult of the singer: Even before all the songs were in the can, Baby Huey died of a heart attack in 1970.
