Ibragimova also performs with the orchestra. Ogrynczuk, Principal Oboe of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, takes on Bach. Ogrynchuk has made a splash with his world premiere recording of Beethoven’s unfinished oboe concerto. He is also the principal player of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and his new album is a collection of oboe concertos by the great Bach. Of course, there is no oboe concerto in Bach’s work list, but it is said that he was fond of it because of his many exquisite solos in cantatas and other works. The F major work on this album is based on the harpsichord concerto No. 2, the oboe d’amore on No. 4, and the double concerto with violin on the concerto for two harpsichords, all of which are said to have been original oboe concertos, which have been restored. Ogrinchuk’s bewitchingly beautiful sound, as well as her collaboration with Ibragimova, are also noteworthy.
