Bach’s cello sonata with a new charm created by playing the accompanying harpsichord part on the guitar! This is an ambitious piece in which the harpsichord accompaniment part of Bach’s Sonata for viola da gamba is replaced by the guitar. The viola da gamba is of course played here on modern cello. The guitar accompaniment not only makes a difference in tone but also increases the mobility of the music, giving the overall impression of lightness.
