Description:

The clarinet quartet, composed of members of the Belgian National Orchestra, performs music that brings out the unique vitality of the clarinet. The program ranges from lighthearted, upbeat American jazz-style suites by Thompson and Louis Mortier to works by the Belgian-born Rick Perukmans that put a twist on traditional jazz, as well as ragtime pieces by George Botsford (such as Black and White from 1908), to arrangements of classic masterpieces by Gershwin, Rodgers, and Bernstein.
