Although the title is The End of the Century, this collection features modern clarinet pieces from the early 20th century. However, the compositional styles vary widely depending on the composer.Bettina Aust is a German clarinetist. After studying in Hanover and Paris, she has served as principal clarinetist of the Augsburg Philharmonic Orchestra since 2014. In 2015, she was a prize winner (one of three) at the German Music Competition; at that time, she released her debut CD on the GENUIN label (GEN16432). With her crisp, beautiful tone and exceptional control, she is the perfect clarinetist for this kind of contemporary music.
