This is a collection of works by Luz Lango, a Danish composer and organist of the Late Romantic period, known for his avant-garde works and the unusual titles of his compositions compared to his contemporaries in early 20th century Denmark. In this third collection of his piano works, we can hear some interesting pieces, including three world premiere recordings, among which “Insectarium” is particularly unique. In particular, “Insectarium” is unique. It is a suite in which insects are described with thrilling precision. Although it was composed in 1917, the work is ahead of its time, with the use of internal piano techniques in some parts. Performing throughout the series is Danish pianist Berit Johansen Tange.
